1) Shut the interior ball valve, so that the handle is perpendicular to the pipe.
2) Remove any attached hoses and ensure that the faucet is open.
3) With the valve still open outside go back inside and remove the drain port located just downstream of the handle for the valve to bleed off any residual water in the pipe. Have a cup or a cloth in hand as these ports can drip.
4) Reinstate the drain port cap.
Congratulations, your exterior faucet is now winterized.
