Canada's National Heat Pump Rebate will open for applications in early 2027. Eligible households installing eligible heat pumps on or after November 1, 2026 will be able to apply when the program launches.
Further details about rebate amounts, eligibility, eligible equipment and the application process are expected as of November 1. The announced grants are $2,000, or up to $10,000 for eligible low-to-median-income households, subject to program criteria.
The installation date alone does not guarantee eligibility or payment. The full process for retroactive claims has not yet been published.
