John the Plumber in Ottawa, ON just completed a great little job and we wanted to share it with you! Many people do not get to see commercial or industrial projects like this and we love to share our work.

A local manufacturing and processing warehouse in Nepean was in need of a washroom as there was not one in the building. We came in and quoted the work a few weeks back and completed our end of the job this week. We took some pictures so you can see how this gets done.

This particular warehouse did not have and water or sanitary lines in it so we had a local Ottawa concrete cutting company come in and trench about 20 feet of concrete. Once the gravel and debris was cleared out we located the original main sewer line and tied into it with a wye fitting and ran it to the location of the new powder room. To continue, our John the Plumber plumbers, Alasdair and Eric, located the existing copper water lines and tied into those as well in order to have a water supply in for the toilet and vanity. We remediated the concrete floor and smoothed it out to the correct height.

There was no existing venting close by so we opted to vent using the automatic air vent as going all the way to the ceiling would not have been very cost effective. Finally, if you look closely, you can see the mini on demand hot water tank located in the wall above the vanity. This is a great and economical option when your hot water source is very far away and you do not want to wait 3 minutes running water until it gets warm.

Great job Alasdair and Eric! John the Plumber Ottawa – Fast, friendly, local plumbing Services.
