This financial assistance is called The Residential Protective Plumbing Program .

Residential Protect Plumbing Program Requirements

• You, the applicant, must be the property owner.
• The property must be a residential property located in Ottawa and served by the City of Ottawa sewers.
• For private storm sewer services, the home must have been built before January 1, 2004.
• For private sanitary services, the home must have been built before January 2, 2012.
• The Protective Plumbing Device must be a new installation, not a replacement, repair, or maintenance of a pre-existing PPD.
• Property taxes must be up to date.
• The work cannot start before the application is completed and approved.
