John the Plumber Hamilton here with a bathroom rough in. Some great pics from some very common, yet very important work that we do here at John the Plumber Hamilton. We thought it would be nice to share these pictures with you. Alasdair and Eric worked tirelessly at a local homeowners home doing some finishing on some renovations that were done, plus we added some additional items, as per the customer’s request.
We redirected the shower drainage and installed shut off valves, supplied and installed a new Moen Shower valve and trim kit, installed the new shower base and reinstated the cement where the drain was in place. We also relocated and clipped the bathroom sink pipes, ran water lines to the washing machine box and connected the drain into the washing machine box as well.
Additionally, we installed some shut off valves at the kitchen sink, added one to the toilet as well as a new flange. We upgraded the water main to ¾” the full length of the basement and supplied and installed a mixing valve to their hot water tank. A mixing valve lets you keep the tank at a hot temperature but prevents scalds when you turn on the taps in the house. This is code now, but we recommend it to anyone with young children or elderly folk in the house to prevent burns.
It was a solid day’s work and had a couple of hiccups along the way, but turned out beautifully with Alasdair and our apprentice Eric.
